Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner-electrode discharge lamp that can easily and securely attain electrical connection of electrode films and a pair of power supply pins disposed at the end of the vessel.
SOLUTION: In this inner-electrode discharge lamp, a pair of electrode films are disposed so as to face each other along the tube axis on inner wall of the glass tube forming the discharge vessel, and a pinch-seal portion is formed at an end of the said glass tube. In this pinch-seal portion, an end of each electrode film is connected electrically to each inner end of a pair of power supply pins extending toward outside the discharge vessel held by the said pinch-seal. In this lamp, the electrode films have a double layer formed by folding along fold lines extending along the tube axis, and inner ends of the supply pins are preferred to be connected helping its inner end inside this folded portion.
