Title:
SIGNATURE COMPUTING SYSTEM BY MOBILE AGENT AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH PROGRAM RECORDED THEREON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3584831
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute digital signature for arbitrary data shown by a host located at a travel destination by letting a mobile agent to hold data in such a form that the signature is not forged by the host at the destination even though a program/code and data are analyzed.
SOLUTION: In a base host 100 which starts a mobile agent 140, a secret key 0 (103) of the owner of the agent 140 is divided into a configuration so that reconstruction is only made possible by the computations using secret keys 115, 125 and 135 of k travel destination hosts 110, 120 and 130 by a partial signature auxiliary data generating section 104. Each travel destination host visited by the moving agent computes a partial signature by making the data stored in the moving agent and the secret key of the travel destination host as the inputs to partial signature computing sections 112, 122 and 132 and an actual signature is obtained from the partial signature computed by the k hosts employing partial signature sections 113, 123 and 133 which make a partial signature an actual signature.
