Title:
INORGANIC COMPOSITE PARTICULATE POWDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3041422
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the corrosion resistance of a cadmium-base pigment without impairing the coloring power by surrounding Cd-base fine particles having a specified particle diameter as cores with TiO2 or TiO2.SrO type fine particles having a specified particle diameter.
SOLUTION: Fine particles of Cd(S1-xSex) (0≤x≤1) as a cadmium-base pigment are dispersed in an aqueous solution of titanium tetrachloride or the like containing dissolved Ti ions. Ammonia water is added while stirring the resulting dispersion to form Ti(OH)4-base fine particles and to envelop the dispersed fine particles of the cadmium-base pigment. The formed precipitate is separated from the solution, dried, calcined and comminuted to obtain the objective composite particulate powder having a structure formed by surrounding fine particles of Cd(S1-xSex) having ≤0.1 μm particle diameter as cores with fine particles of (TiO2)1.0(SrO)x (0≤x≤1) having ≤0.1 μm particle diameter. The composite particulate powder is not decolored even by heating in the air at 400°C and does not discolor even after immersion in aqua regia for 1 hr.
