Title:
INORGANIC PAPER MOLDING AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3438939
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an inorganic paper molding by laminating paper consisting essentially of an inorganic fiber through a complex binder composed of an inorganic sol and an organic substance resin and integrating, excellent in heat resistance and bond strength.
CONSTITUTION: At least one inorganic sol selected from silica sol, alumina sol, titania sol, zirconia sol, magnesia sol and water glass is mixed with 10wt.% of at least one organic substance resin selected from polyvinyl alcohol, acrylic resin, epoxy resin, vinyl acetate resin and phenol resin and water to prepare a complex binder. Paper consisting essentially of an inorganic fiber such as ceramic fiber, glass fiber, etc., is provided with the complex binder. Sheets of paper are piled in a wet state as they are, molded, heat-treated until the organic substance resin is decomposed, the fine particles of the inorganic sol are sintered to give an inorganic paper molding.
