Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input apparatus and an operation determination method capable of improving an accuracy relating to determination of types of operation to an operation surface.SOLUTION: An input apparatus includes a detection unit for acquiring a detection value of electrostatic capacitance in an operation surface for a predetermined period and a processing unit for determining a type of an operation on the operation surface based on the acquired detection value. The processing unit identifies based on the detection value a candidate point on the operation surface that may be operated on the operation surface with an operation body, and if a number of the identified candidate points is plural, determines whether a type of the operation is an operation with one operation body on the operation surface, or the type of the operation is an operation with the plurality of operation bodies on the operation surface based on a distribution of the detection values on the operation surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
