To provide an input device capable of carrying out both detection of change of capacitance at touch of a finger and switch inputting at finger pressing, as well as of illuminating an operation directing part.
A substrate 1 is provided with a switching mechanism 2, covered with a cover sheet 11, equipped with an outside contact 3 as well as an inside contact 4 and a movable contact 5. The cover sheet 11 has a weir body 12 and a pressing body 13 firmly fixed to it. Liquid resin is supplied to an area on the cover sheet 11 surrounded by the weir body 12, and is cured by energy of light to have a translucent and soft light-guide layer 15 formed, on which 15, an operating sheet 21 is set. The movable contact 5 also plays a role of an electrode for detecting change of capacitance against the finger 30, and a distance between the movable contact 5 and the finger 30 can be short to make an air layer thin, thereby the change of capacitance can be detected at high sensitivity.
