Abstract:
To provide an input device that allows a user to easily and quickly recognize a failure of a device mounted on a vehicle.SOLUTION: An input device 10 includes: a dial shifter 20 capable of rotating by user operation; a rotation regulation unit 40 that regulates the rotation of the dial shifter 20; and a shift ECU 42 that controls the rotation regulation unit 40. The input device 10 sets an operation content of a transmission 14 of a vehicle 12 based on the position of the dial shifter 20. The shift ECU 42 acquires the state of the transmission 14, and if the transmission 14 is normal, enforces the rotation regulation unit 40 to regulate the rotation of the dial shifter 20, while if the transmission 14 is abnormal, enforces the rotation regulation unit 40 not to regulate the rotation of the dial shifter 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
