Abstract:
To provide an insert member with which adhesibility between this member and a cast product can remarkably be improved.
This insert member is provided with a main body composed of metallic element producing a basic oxide and adhesive grains composed of an acidic oxide burnt to the surface of the main body by reacting with this basic oxide and improves the adhesibility between the main body and a cast material when this main body is cast into the cast material through the adhesive grains. The many adhesive grains, such as silicas, adhering to the surface of the insert member functions as anchors in the cast material and the adhesibility between both can be remarkably improved.
