Title:
INSERT MOLDING METHOD BY PRESS INSERTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3216080
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce force filling resistance through extrusion of excessive resin and thus allow the extruded resin to be recyclable even in an insert molding of press fitting of an insert work in resin in a cavity.
SOLUTION: A sprue 4 and a setting hole 7 of an insert work 6 having the same inner diameter are arranged face to face on the opposite mold faces of a cavity 3. A compression member 8 is set to be movable forward rearward in the work setting hole 7. Then, the nozzle 5a of an injection device 5 is put in contact with the sprue 4 for allowing the counterflow of resin. The insert work 6 is inserted in the work setting hole 7 to wait outside. Resin is injected in the cavity 3 from the nozzle 5a. Immediately, the insert work 6 is extruded to the cavity 3 by the compression member 8 toward resin 16 within the cavity 3. The distal end of the work is press fitted to the position where it pierces through resin 16 and is housed in the sprue 4. Subsequently, insert is done by press back the punched out resin at the work tip end surface into the nozzle 5a along with resin 17 within the sprue 4.
