Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an insulating material excellent in insulating properties by causing a monomer having a specific functional group to be distributed unevenly in a nonpolar polyolefin and to exist mainly near its surface requiring insulation.
CONSTITUTION: This insulating material mainly comprising a nonpolar polyolefin contains a monomer which has at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of carbonyl, carbonyl deriv., acid anhydride, hydroxyl, nitro, and nitrile groups and is distributed unevenly and mainly near the surface of the material. The monomer may be unevenly distributed by lamination, by bleeding out, or by vapor deposition of the monomer by sputtering or CVD or with plasma.
