Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an occupant on a vehicle seat from a side collision of the vehicle comparatively easily.
SOLUTION: In a vehicle seat, a front face part 13 is combined with a side back 12 of a seat back so as to be pivoted by means of a supporting shaft 15, and an air bag module 22 is installed inside a side back rear wall part 21. In case of a side collision of a vehicle, an air bag 24 expanded from the air bag module 22 turns the front face part 13 on the side end part of a seat cushion 17, and as a result, an occupant 30 is protected from a side collision of a vehicle by means of the developed air bag 24 and the front face part, 13.
