Title:
INTAKE AIR CONTROLLER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3435952
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the dispersion of the opening/closing timing of intake control valves in respective air cylinders in an intake air controller for an internal combustion engine which is arranged in intake passages per respective air cylinders of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, and controls an intake air amount per each air cylinder through the intake control valves whose opening and closing are electronically controlled.
SOLUTION: Intake control valves 12 are driven to be opened/closed by electric actuators 14 drivingly controlled through a driving circuit 30. These actuators 14 make the corresponding intake control valves 12 to swing at 90° on the basis of a battery voltage VB impressing mode through the driving circuit 30 to built-in electromagnetic coils. At this time, dispersion occurs in the actual opening/closing timing of the intake control valves 12 according to the coil temperature and battery voltage of respective corresponding actuators 14. Therefore, in this device, the coil temperature and battery voltage of the actuators 14 are detected per each air cylinder, and the opening/closing directing timing of respective corresponding intake control valves 12 is corrected according to detected values.
