Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a detecting error in an intake air flow rate equivalent to lead heating by heat conduction to a lead from a heat-ray element without being influenced by an intake air system layout when detecting the intake air flow rate on the basis of output voltage of a heat-ray type air flowmeter (AFM).
SOLUTION: The detecting error in the intake air flow rate equivalent to the lead heating is determined as a detecting error in AFM output voltage. Actually, an error initial value VERRINI# and a damping coefficient RELR# are used, and are reduced in a primary delay with the lapse of time, and an AFM output error VERR is set (S1 to S3). The AFM output error VERR is corrected by a correction rate A according to the intake air flow rate (S4 and S5). Actual AFM output voltage US is corrected by an AFM output error VERR' after a correction, and is used for detecting the intake air flow rate Q (S9 to S11).
