Title:
INTAKE DEVICE FOR MULTICYLINDER ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3668445
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved intake device for a multicylinder engine free from the attachment of carbon around an EGR gas discharge port opened in an intake passage.
SOLUTION: An EGR gas distributing passage 30 and a blow-by gas distributing passage 29 are integrally formed in a state of crossing the cylinder bank direction between the branch pipes, on an upper face of an intake manifold 2 manufactured by arranging plural branch pipes 2a-2d respectively connected to an intake port of each cylinder, in parallel with each other, and discharge ports 24a-24d to each of intake pipes, of the EGR gas distributing passage are mounted at an intake upstream side with respect to the discharge ports 22a-22d to each of intake pipes, of the blow-by pass distributing passage. Whereby the attachment of carbon around the EGR gas discharge ports can be inhibited. In particular, the transfer of the heat of the EGR gas to the blow-by gas can be reduced by an air layer, in a case when an air gap 13 is formed between the EGR gas distributing passage and the blow-by gas distributing passage to form the air layer.
