Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an on-vehicle internal combustion engine having an intake passage structure to avoid freezing in an idling speed control valve properly even when a vehicle travels in a very cold condition. SOLUTION: Two intake passages 26a, 26b are arranged in parallel substantially in the longitudinal direction of an automobile to supply air to a combustion chamber 16 of an engine, and are provided with throttle valves 28 respectively. An idling speed control valve 61 to control air volume by-passing the throttle valve 28 is provided in the intake passage 26b on the rear side relating to the longitudinal direction of the automobile out of the two intake passages 25a, 26b.
