To prevent a throttle valve from being iced by moisture contained in blow-by gas discharged in an intake passage in an intake device including a blow-by gas recirculating device between an intake duct incorporating the throttle valve and a cylinder head cover of an engine carrying thereon the intake duct.

A throttle valve 1 is provided in an intake duct 4 defining an intake passage 5. An intake duct 4 is substantially horizontally arranged on a cylinder head cover 30, and a blow-by gas recirculting device is incorporated in the intake duct 4 and a cylinder head cover 30. The bottom surface 3a of an opening and closing part of the throttle valve 1 within the intake passage 5 is formed at a position which is higher than the positions of the bottom surface 4a of the passage upstream and downstream of the throttle valve 1.
