PURPOSE: To obtain an intake pipe which can be bent easily and can therefore be laid in the state of floating along the undulation of the bottom of the sea by adopting a structure comprising an inner covering rubber layer; an outer covering rubber layer; and a laminated structure comprising a flexible material reinforcing layer and a middle rubber layer formed between the inner covering rubber layer and the outer covering rubber layer.
CONSTITUTION: An intake pipe 10 is a flexible pipe having a laminated structure comprising, except two end portions thereof, an inner covering rubber layer 12; a first reinforcing cord layer 14 which is made of a polyester fiber and is disposed on the outer face of the inner covering rubber layer 12; a plurality of external pressure-resistant reinforcing rings 16 which are made of a zinc- plated steel pipe and are fit in the outer periphery of the first reinforcing cord layer 14 with intervals therebetween; a middle rubber layer 18 which covers the outer peripheral of the first reinforcing cord layer 14; a second reinforcing cord layer 20 which is made of a polyester fiber and is provided on the outer faces of the middle rubber layer 18 and the external pressure resistant rings 16; and an outer covering layer 22 which is the outermost layer of the intake pipe 10.
