Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface control method which is used for appropriately controlling a position of the interface between a suspended solid matter layer and a liquid layer in a flotation tank.SOLUTION: The interface control method, which is used for controlling the position of the interface between the suspended solid matter layer and the liquid layer in the flotation tank (20) of a floatation type solid-liquid separation apparatus (10), comprises: an image pickup step of taking an image of a window part (22b) which is arranged on the side wall (22a) of the flotation tank and through which the light from the inside of the flotation tank can be transmitted; an information acquisition step of processing the taken image to acquire the positional information on the position of the interface; and adjustment step of adjusting at least one of a feed rate of the raw water to the flotation tank, a discharge rate of the treated water from the flotation tank, and another discharge rate of the suspended solid matter on the basis of the acquired positional information.
