PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device which can handle a variety of different image sensors for each manufacturing company and product model in an image processing system including an image sensor and an image processor.
SOLUTION: The system comprises the image sensor for photographing an image, the image processor which performs processing for outputting the photographed image as image data, and a sensor interface connected between the image sensor and the image processor. Further, the sensor interface comprises a sensor type register which stores information about the image sensor, a microcomputer which writes the information about the image sensor in the sensor type register and controls the image sensor, and a sensor signal processing section which receives an output signal from the image sensor, converts, according to the information stored in the sensor type register, the output signal suitably for an input of the image processor connected to an output end, and transmits the converted signal to the image processor.
