Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful for a production intermediate compound of a selective inhibitor for an inducible nitric-oxide synthase.
SOLUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I (Q is H or a carboxy protecting group; Q' is a protecting group), preferably, t-butyl-6- benzyloxycarbonylamino-2-t-butoxycarbonylamino-4,4-dioxy-4-thiahexanoate. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by oxidizing a compound of formula II (p is 2 or 3; q is 1 or 2; Q" is a protecting group) [for example; S-(2-benzyloxycarbonylamino)-N-butyloxycarbonylcysteine tert-butyl ester or the like], in a solvent such as methanol or the like with oxone or the like, and removing the protecting group Q" under the condition of catalytic transfer hydrogenation.
