CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (Me is methyl; Bn is benzyl; X is hydroxyl group). Furthermore, the compound of formula I is obtained by producing an amine derivative of formula IV from an alcohol derivative of formula II through a phthalic imide derivative of formula III, producing a yne-ene compound of formula VI from the amine derivative through a tertiary carbamate derivative of formula V, reacting the yne-ene compound with dicobalt octacarbonyl to form a cobalt complex of formula VII, treating the cobalt complex with N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide to produce a bicycloketone derivative of formula VIII, reducing the bicycloketone derivative to produce a saturated bicycloketone derivative and reducing the saturated bicycloketone derivative.
