Abstract:
To suppress deterioration in fuel economy.SOLUTION: A control device of an internal combustion engine is used for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine in which a filter for removing particulate matter for each of banks is installed in an exhaust system, and controls the internal combustion engine so as to perform fuel cut for stopping fuel injection when a fuel cut condition is established. A fuel cut permission time is set for each of the banks on the basis of a temperature of the filter for each of the banks, and fuel cut is inhibited with the usage of the shortest permission time among the fuel cut permission times set for each of the banks. This makes it possible to suppress deterioration of fuel economy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
