Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine capable of preventing a large amount of unburned hydrocarbon adsorbed to an oxidation catalyst from being released at once.SOLUTION: An ECU 90 is disposed on an internal combustion engine including an oxidation catalyst. The ECU 90 includes a required accelerator opening detection portion 93, an accelerator opening correction portion 94, and an accelerator opening control portion 95. The required accelerator opening detection portion 93 detects a required accelerator opening as the accelerator opening which is required. The accelerator opening correction portion 94 corrects the required accelerator opening to lower responsiveness to increase of the required accelerator opening detected by the required accelerator opening detection portion 93, after a low idle operation of the internal combustion engine. The accelerator opening control portion 95 controls the accelerator opening on the basis of the required accelerator opening corrected by the accelerator opening correction portion 94.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
