Abstract:
To provide a cylinder head capable of securing a strong tumble flow and a necessary intake amount.SOLUTION: An upper face near a terminal end of a suction port 7 serves as an upper inclination guide face 18, and a suction valve seat 15 is mounted to a diameter-enlarging part 21 formed at the terminal end. The suction port 7 is gradually inclined downward, and a relief face 27 starting from an upper inner peripheral edge 15f of the suction valve seat 15 toward a starting end, and a lower guide recess 26 toward the staring end in continuous with the relief face are formed at the terminal end of the lower face of the suction port 7. The relief face 27 is inclined relatively downward to the lower face 25 of the suction port 7 and a basic centerline 19. A deepest part 26a of the lower guide recess 26 is near the suction valve seat 15. By the lower guide recess 26, a direction of intake air can be made as upward as possible, so as to form a strong tumble flow. Also, there is the relief face 27, so a cross section area at a terminal end 7b of the suction port 7 is not reduced when the upper inclination guide face 18 exists, and an intake amount can be secured according to a throttle opening (control response is excellent).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
