Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved internal combustion engine ignition timing control device capable of restricting occurrence of knock at the time of accelerating operation and further attaining a smooth acceleration feeling.SOLUTION: In the case of performing a transient operation where an actual igniting time is displaced from a required ignition time, the actual igniting time is approached to the required ignition time by correcting a delay angle through knock at the actual igniting time under an assumption that the knock occurs by decreasing a knock judging threshold value. Decreasing the knock judging threshold value enables the actual ignition time where its angle is advanced in respect to the required ignition time to be corrected to a delay angle side by performing the delay angle correction through knock at the actual igniting time under an assumption that the knock occurs even if the knock is not generated, so that the occurrence of knock can be effectively restricted.
