Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake/exhaust system for a multiple cylinder engine that can improve intake efficiency by a simple configuration to improve engine torque and fuel consumption performance.SOLUTION: In the intake/exhaust system for an internal combustion engine, a flow passage area providing an intersection point X between a change curve of a first clearance formed between an inner peripheral surface of an outer pipe 55 as a slide valve and an outer peripheral surface of an inner pipe 54 relative to a flow passage area and a change curve of a second clearance formed between an outer peripheral surface of the outer pipe 55 and an inner peripheral surface of a storage pipe 51a relative to a flow passage area is disposed on a side of a maximum flow passage area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
