Abstract:
To favorably control generation of deposit in an area close to an injection hole communicating a main combustion chamber with an auxiliary combustion chamber.SOLUTION: An engine comprises: a main combustion chamber 41 facing a piston reciprocating inside a cylinder; an auxiliary combustion chamber 42 communicated with the main combustion chamber 41 through an injection hole 47 of a housing; and an ignition plug which ignites an air fuel mixture inside the auxiliary combustion chamber 42. The injection 47 has: a first opening 471 open in the auxiliary combustion chamber 42; a second opening 472 open in the main combustion chamber 41 with an opening area larger than that of the first opening 471; and a passage section 473 which connects the first opening 471 and the second opening 472. The passage section 473 has a connection edge face 477 which is a stepped section configured to change inner peripheral shapes in a stepped pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
