Abstract:
A valve timing control device for internal combustion engines comprises: a cover member 4 to cover the front portion of an electric motor that causes a timing sprocket and a cam shaft to rotate relative to each other; a brush for power supply 31a, 31b to supply power to the electric motor; and an electromagnetic noise suppression mechanism 63 that is provided on the power supply side of the brush for power supply and that comprises an inductor coil 64 and a capacitor 65. A covering body 28 comprises an outer layer 28a that is formed by a synthetic resin and an inner layer 28b that is fixed and molded to the inside of the outer layer and that is formed by a metallic conductive material. The inner layer has two projections 28h, the exposed faces of which are connected to terminals 65b of the capacitor, and is electrically connected to a chain case 60 via a positioning pin 62. Thus, it is possible to suppress the increase in the number of parts by the inner layer of the cover member being used to conduct current to the ground of an electromagnetic noise suppression mechanism.
