Abstract:
To obtain exact intake air quantities of cylinder groups.
Compression intake air quantities Mac 1-8 with added an leaked intake air quantity Mb in a compression stroke of the cylinders are individually calculated by comparing assumed internal pressure P2t during compression when assuming that there is no leakage of intake air in the compression stroke with actually measured combustion chamber internal pressure P2. Cylinder group intake air quantities ML, MR are calculated by totalizing the compression intake air quantities Mac 1-4 and Mac 5-8 of all the cylinders belonging to the cylinder groups.
