Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation and deposition of deposit due to temperature rising in an injector injecting fuel.SOLUTION: The port injection type internal combustion engine where the injector 11 injecting fuel is disposed in an intake port 52 includes an air cooling mechanism 6 for jetting air to a tip of the injector 11 after stop of the internal combustion engine. The air cooling mechanism 6 includes elements such as a nozzle 61 for ejecting compressed-air toward the tip of the injector 11 and air supply means for supplying compressed-air to the air ejection nozzle 61. The air ejection nozzle 61 is installed upstream from the tip of the injector 11 in an intake passage 3.
