Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange device capable of regenerating an ion exchanger in the optimal regenerating conditions, and an operation method of the same.SOLUTION: Water to be treated is passed into an ion exchange device having an ion exchanger filled layer filled with an ion exchanger to separate ions in the water to be treated. After passing water is stopped, a regeneration agent is passed according to one or more regenerating conditions selected from concentration of the regeneration agent, regeneration agent passing speed, and a regeneration agent passing time calculated by a calculation means in advance so as to regenerate the ion exchanger. In the ion exchange device, the calculation means calculates ion adsorbed amount distribution in the ion exchanger filled layer after stopping passing water and before regeneration based on water quality of the water to be treated, water passing speed, and water passing time, and calculates adsorbed amount distribution after regenerating under a plurality of regenerating conditions as against the adsorbed amount distribution after stopping water passing and before regeneration, so as to calculate the regenerating conditions.
