Abstract:
To provide a new niobium base alloy having sufficient strength in a high temperature range of ≥1,500°C and also excellent in toughness in a range from ordinary temperature to high temperature.
This iridium-added niobium base alloy contains 3 to 11 at.% Ir, and the balance substantial Nb. Alternatively, this iridium-added niobium base alloy contains either or both of 5 to 30 at.% Mo and 5 to 15 at.% W, and the balance substantial Nb.
