Title:
ISDN TERMINAL ADAPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3112104
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To implement communication between a non-ISDN terminal equipment and an ISDN subscriber interface not by revising the setting but by employing the conventional ISDN call setup.
CONSTITUTION: The adaptor is provided with a circuit 50 connecting a non ISDN terminal equipment 4, a circuit 20 connecting an ISDN subscriber interface and an exchange circuit 60 exchanging signals and protocols between the non ISDN interfaces. At application of power, no setup is implemented but any signal channel of the ISDN subscriber interfaces is acquired immediately, an input output signal of the non ISDN terminal equipment is allocated to the signal channel for signal transmission by a private line function. The private line function is implemented when no signal transmission request comes from the non ISDN terminal equipment 4 during a monitor period provided after application of power and the usual ISDN call setup processing is implemented when a signal transmission request is in existence.
