Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the assembling work, and lessen the man-hours of assembling, and lessen the number of parts required, and lessen the limitations on the direction of incorporation into a housing of a terminal.
CONSTITUTION: The molded items of the first and second terminals (for example, a break terminal and a chip terminal) 52 and 54 are made integrally by die cutting or bending processing by a press, and the first and second terminals 52 and 54 of the molded items are inserted temporarily into the terminal insertion holes of a housing 50. And, the first and second terminals 52 and 54 are cut off the molded items with a punching jig, and also the cut off first and second terminals 52 and 54 are inserted and fixed in the terminal insertion holes 70 and 72, respectively, and the first terminal 52 is transformed, being locked with the locking pedestal 66 at the time of this insertion and fixing. Hereby, the contact part 52a of the first terminal 52 is brought into contact with the contact part 54a of the second terminal 54 at specified pressure. Therefore, the first and second terminals 52 and 54 can be inserted and fixed at the same time into the housing 50, so the first and second terminals 52 and 54 can be handled as one part.
