Title:
JIG FOR MANUFACTURING THERMAL SPRAY MOLDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2610562
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a jig for manufacturing a thermal spray molding having different characteristics from those of a material to be produced by a conventional casting, a rolling, powder metallurgical techniques, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The jig is constituted of two structural elements. A first element is a base material 1 whose surface has a mean roughness of <1μm and the other is constituted of a flank plate 2 whose surface has a mean roughness of ≥1μm fitted on the flank of the base material. After a thermally sprayed layer 3 is formed on the surface of the jig, the thermal-spray layer 3 is peeled off from the base material 1 simultaneously together with the flank plate 2. After peeling off, the flank plate part 2 is mechanically cut off and removed to produce the thermal-spray molding. The thermal-spray layer 3 on the surface of the jig has small adhesive strength to a base material having the small surface roughens and is tightly adhered with a flank plate having the large surface roughness, thereby maintaining the thermal-spray layer and then, forming the thermal-spray layer having a prescribed shape and thickness. By using such jig, the thermal-spray layer 3 is easily peeled off from the base material 1, thus the thermal-spray molding having different characteristics from those of the conventional material is easily produced.
