To provide a joint processing method of a long size belt, capable of easily joining both end parts, even when the long size belt has cushion performance.
A second layer 12 is separated from a first layer 11 in both end parts of a long size flat belt. A first tapered surface 11S is formed in one end part, by grinding the upper surface 11C side of the one end part of the first layer 11. A second tapered surface 11T is formed in the other end part, by grinding the under surface 11D side of the other part of the first layer 11. The other end part of the second layer 12 is cut, and the length of the second layer 12 is matched with the length of the first layer 11. An endless belt is molded by joining the mutual tapered surfaces 11S and 11T and mutual both end surfaces 12F and 12G of the second layer 12, and adhering the separated first layer 11 to the second layer 12.
