Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition composed of a ketone peroxide and a specified diluent, having a low viscosity, excellent in dyeing power keeping properties in blending of dyes, and capable of keeing an excellent curability and workability in curing a vinyl ester resin, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This composition contains (A) a ketone peroxide (preferably acetylacetone peroxide, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, etc.) and (B) a diluent composed of a compound (preferably 3-methoxybutyl acetate or 1-dimethyl-3- hydroxybutane) of the formula [R1 is CnH2n-1 or CmH2m+1COO(CH2)n; R2 is CmH2m+1; (n) is 1 to 4; (m) is 0 to 3] preferably in a ratio of 30 to 65wt.% component (A) and 35 to 70wt.% component (B). In addition, this composition may contain a plasticizer such as dibutyl phthalate as necessary. A dye capable of being instantiously decolored during an operation for curing a resin can be contained for preventing, e.g. mal-charging of a curing agent.
