Abstract:

To provide a key and a lock system capable of preventing the use of duplicate keys even if the key is duplicated and accurately grasping the number of the duplicate keys.

This lock system is provided with an information memory section 11 storing the password information certifying a key as a genuine one, and it updates the password information stored in the information memory section 11 via communication with an external apparatus at each locking.
