Title:
KEY SWITCH DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3314926
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch device that corresponds to thinning of a keyboard, while keeping a keystroke large.
SOLUTION: Gears 12a, 12b, 22a, 22b of both gear link members 7, 8 are engaged with each other and turn synchronously, and thereby the vertical movement of a key top 1 is guided and supported. This does not require a structure in which a key stem is slidably, vertically guided with a holder portion, so that the size of a keystroke is kept and at the same time a keyboard can be thinned. First locking portions 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b for locking gear link members 7, 8 are formed in the rear surface of the key top 1. Therefore, the first locking portions 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b can be stored in the key top 1, when the key top 1 is depressed, so that they do not diminish the keystroke.
