Title:
KEYHOLE LIGHTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5795231
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To avoid letting a driver have a suspicion by a method wherein a timer circuit cannot be started by pulling a door handle in the condition where a door switch is closed, in a lighting device for shedding light on a door keyhole for a predetermined period of time through a timer circuit.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of locking a door without using a key, if the door is opened, the door switch 5 is closed to cause a transistor Q4 to be earthed so that, when a handle switch 1 is closed by pulling, the transistor Q4 is made to conduct to charge a capacitor C2. Then, when the door is shut and the handle is released, the switch 5 is opened to cause the transistor Q4 to be non-conductive, so that the capacitor C2 starts to be discharged. if the switch 1 is then opened before the capacitor C2 is not discharged by an amount corresponding to the voltage drop across a transistor Q3 and a diode D5, the transistor Q3 does not conduct and, therefore, a lamp 3 is not turned on. Accordingly, the keyhole lamp is prevented from being turned on when the door is shut.
