Title:
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3889458
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety, reliability and operability by a method wherein a camera or an access detection part or the like is provided at a door mirror, and a door is unlocked only when a person approaching a car is ascertained that his iris pattern agrees with a registered one.
SOLUTION: An iris pattern of a user 3 of a car 1 is registered in an iris pattern file 9. The user 3 approaching a car 1 is detected with a detecting part 6, and a camera 5 is started for operation and a picture of an eye of the user 3 is taken 7. Then, an iris pattern taken by the camera is compared 8 with the pattern registered in the file 9 and when agreement is confirmed, a door 2 is unlocked by operation of a lock control part 10. A device the same as the one installed to a door mirror is installed to a room mirror, and the user sitting on a driver's seat is detected therewith, and the engine is started only when agreement of iris pattern is confirmed. Therefore, driving of the car can be made without a key even though the key is lost. Thereby, safety, reliability and operability can be improved for the car.
