Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain L-alaninedehydrogenase capable of reacting with a slight amount of L-alanine under mild conditions of both temperature and PH and useful in the quantitative analysis, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to Streptomyces avellaneus. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium belonging to Streptomyces avellaneus, e.g., Streptomyces.avellaneus R-20 bacterium (FERM P-5443) is cultivated. L- alaninedehydrogenase wherein preferable pH of amination reaction and deamination reaction is each 7.0-9.0 and 8.0-10.0 and when retained at pH 5.0-12.0 and 5 deg.C, residual activity ratio is >=80% and preferable temperature is 40-55 deg.C and molecular weight is 260000-280000 is obtained by the above- mentioned method.
