Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, when used in corrosive gases, oil mist, or water vapor environments, lighting fixtures with LEDs as light sources cause problems in which an LED corrodes or discolors leading to short life and luminous flux decrease since a sealing resin of the LED light emitting part has no barrier performance against corrosive gases, oil mist, or water vapor.SOLUTION: In order to solve problems of short life and luminous flux decrease of LED lighting fixtures in corrosive gases, oil mist, or water vapor atmosphere, or the like, an LED is provided with a thin film formed by vapor deposition using a material through which corrosive gases or oil mist cannot penetrate so as not to decrease the luminous flux.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
