To obtain a label for a metallic can, which has excellent concealability when it is stuck to a can body of the metallic can, exhibits a good appearance even after it is subjected to a baking process, and is further excellent in blocking resistance and drawing properties.
The label for the metallic can has a heat-resistant label base, a heat-resistant white ink layer and an adhesive layer in this sequence, and also has a print layer on the exterior of the base or between the base and the white ink layer. It is characterized by a tarnish-resistant white ink layer provided between the print layer and the heat-resistant white ink layer. The adhesive layer may be colored in white. The tarnish-resistant white ink layer preferably contains a heat-resistant polyester-based resin or a heat-resistant epoxy-based resin as a main ingredient of the resin, and the heat-resistant white ink layer preferably contains an urethane urea-based resin as a main ingredient of the resin.
