PURPOSE: To minimize a movement distance of a sample by providing a movable insert means wherein multiple samples are held and multiple physical storage positions and virtual positions are contained, and transporting the sample with a robot means.
CONSTITUTION: An annular array 32 comprises a linear array 44 of multiple physical storage positions 46, and a virtual position 48 is obtained when the linear array 44 is further extended outside. Positioning of a sample to be treated in a chromatograph means 14 is performed with a rotational transportation means 54 comprising true annular array of a physical storage position 56 provided at an injection means 22, and a hand 36 of a robot arm 34 transports the sample among the physical position 46 for a tray means, the virtual position 48 and the injection jeans 20. An identification and confirmation of the sample is automatically perforated with a bar-code reader 58, and each virtual position 48 makes a vial 12 which contains a single sample to be placed parallel to pre-injection sample treating means 22.
