Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a calcium antagonistic substance composed of a specific lactam imide and useful as an antianginal agent, a vasodilator, a hypotensor, an antimaniac agent, etc. CONSTITUTION: This calcium antagonistic substance is composed of a compound of formula I [Z is H or a 1-4C alkyl; (n) is 3-16; R is an 8-15C alkyl, a (1-4 C)alkoxy (8-15C)alkyl, a (substituted) phenyl (1-16C)alkyl, a group of formula II (X is O or S; A is a bond or a 1-3C alkylene; R<1> is H, a 1-4C alkyl, a 3-6C alkenyl, etc.), formula III (R<2> is phenyl or a 3-6C cycloalkyl; R<3> is H or methyl), formula IV (R<5> is CH2 , CH2 Ch2 or CH=CH; R<6> is H or a 1-4C alkyl), formula V (R<7> is a 3-5C cycloalkyl; R<8> is H, a 1-4C alkoxy or a 1-4C alkyl; (p) is 1 or 2), etc.], such as 2-(2-norbornylimino)azacyclotridecane.
