To provide a ladder for ceiling work allowing a worker to perform the ceiling work at a position away from a wall easily and quickly.
This ladder for ceiling work has a first ladder half body 1 and a second ladder half body 2 pivoted mutually to switch into a linear deployed ladder state or an inverted V-shaped stepladder state freely. This ladder has a wall surface abutting supporting member 3 abutting on a vertical wall surface A in a horizontally deployed state and supporting the first ladder half body 1 and the second ladder half body 2 being in the deployed ladder state. The wall surface abutting supporting member 3 is pivoted on an end part 8 of either of the first ladder half body 1 and the second ladder half body 2 and is stored by being folded and overlapped on a side where the first ladder half body 1 or the second ladder half body 2 is pivoted.
