Abstract:
To provide a support for a magnetic recording medium which has high adhesiveness with a magnetic layer, hardly causes scratches on the surface during conveyance, and can form a magnetic recording medium which is reduced in dimensional variation caused by an environmental variation, can be stored even at high humidity, and excellent in durability.
A layer (M layer) which contains metal or a metal based oxide is formed on at least one surface of a polyester film, and furthermore, on at least one surface thereof, a coating layer (C layer) is formed.
