PURPOSE: To obtain laminated paper suitable for a food packaging material or a building material such as wall paper, having both moisture resistance and tear properties, by laminating a cyclic olefinic resin film to woodfree paper.

CONSTITUTION: A film of a cyclic olefinic resin selected from the group consisting of (A-1) an ethylene/cyclic olefin random copolymer obtained by copolymerizing ethylene with a cyclic olefin of formula I [(n) and (q) are each 0 or 1; (m) is 0 or a positive integer; R1 to R18, Ra and Rb are each H, a halogen, a (halogen-substituted) hydrocarbon group or R15 to R18 are mutually bonded to form a monocyclic or polycyclic] or formula II [(p) and (q) are each 0 or a positive integer; (m) and (n) are each 0-2; R1 to R19 are each H, a halogen, a (halogen-substituted) hydrocarbon group, an alkoxy or C bonded to R9 or R10 may be directly bonded to C bonded to R13 or R11], (A-2) a ring-opening (co)polymer of the cyclic olefin, (A-3) a hydrogenated substance of the ring- opening (co)polymer (A-2) and (A-4) a graft modified substance of the copolymer (A-1) to the hydrogenated substance (A-3) is prepared. The film is laminated through a urethane adhesive to woodfree paper.
