To provide a laminated plate for a building material which has a smooth surface, high fire resistance, low water absorption, and is of a substantially dense texture, light-weight and shows an outstanding physical strength.
A pumice 7 and a ceramic fine hollow particle 4 are added to a mixture of a resol-type phenol resin and a foaming agent, and this material is molded under pressure into a core material 3. On the front and back faces of the core material 3, a composition consisting of the ceramic fine hollow particle 4 and the resol-type phenol resin is laminated as an intermediate layer 2. In addition, a composition consisting of the ceramic fine hollow particle, glass fiber and the resol-type phenol resin is laminated as a surface layer 1 on the upper face of the intermediate layer 2.
